Why everyone keeps coming back.

Coffeentalk Broadway is a vibrant café nestled in the heart of San Diego’s bustling downtown at 655 W Broadway suite 150. This charming spot effortlessly blends a welcoming atmosphere with an imaginative menu that delights both coffee aficionados and food lovers alike.

Stepping inside Coffeentalk Broadway, you immediately sense a warm, inviting ambiance where the friendly chatter of baristas and customers creates a comforting buzz. The café offers both cozy indoor seating and refreshing outdoor spots — perfect whether you’re escaping the city’s pace for a quiet moment or catching up with friends. The presence of steady, mellow music further enhances the overall vibe, making it a favored destination for students, remote workers, and casual visitors.

The menu is a testament to thoughtful culinary creativity. Their toast selections are standout items, featuring options like the rich, velvety Nutella Toast that offers a indulgent, chocolate-hazelnut sweetness to brighten your morning. If you prefer something savory and fresh, the Salmon Toast bursts with tender smoked salmon paired artfully with fresh ingredients, or try the wholesome Classic Avocado Toast that combines creamy avocado with a perfectly toasted base for a satisfying bite. For those who want something lighter and refreshing, the Cucumber Avocado Toast delivers crisp textures and clean, green flavors.

Complementing the toasts, Coffeentalk Broadway offers an enticing array of fresh smoothies priced at $9 each. Whether you choose the antioxidant-packed Trio Berry, tropical sweetness of The Tropics, or the energizing blend in Get Pumped, each smoothie is crafted with vibrant, fresh ingredients that feel both nourishing and invigorating.

For a touch of wholesome goodness, the café’s salads are worth savoring. The Chef Salad is a colorful medley of organic mixed greens, creamy avocado, tender turkey, and tangy goat cheese, finished with a rich balsamic dressing that marries all components deliciously. The Spinach Salad provides a wonderful balance of sweetness and crunch through dried cranberries, sliced almonds, and goat cheese, while the Kale Salad impresses with its parmesan and lime accents for a zesty twist. Finally, the Arugula Greek Salad bursts with Mediterranean freshness, featuring feta, kalamata olives, and a crisp vinegar dressing.

What truly elevates Coffeentalk Broadway beyond its menu is its attentive and caring service. Regulars praise Helena, a standout barista, whose kindness and thoughtful gestures create a genuine sense of community. Whether it’s recommending the beloved Pistachio Honey Latte – a sweet sip of unique flavor that lingers pleasantly – or ensuring guests with special needs feel welcomed, the team's warmth leaves a lasting impression.

Visitors consistently mention the café's inviting holiday ambiance and prompt service, making it an ideal spot for a quick coffee break or a leisurely visit. Its prime location just a block from the courthouse also draws a diverse crowd, adding to the dynamic yet relaxed energy.

In essence, Coffeentalk Broadway offers more than just expertly crafted coffee and fresh, flavorful fare. It’s a welcoming oasis where quality, comfort, and community come together, inviting you to pause, savor, and connect. Whether you’re chasing a morning caffeine fix or hunting for a cozy place to unwind, this café’s thoughtful menu and heartfelt hospitality make it an essential stop in San Diego’s vibrant downtown scene.

Walked in, asked the barista what she really likes to drink and she recommended me the ‘Pistachio Honey Latte’. So of course, I love to try all things, and pistachio is one of them. This latte was very good, definitely on the sweeter side, but absolutely phenomenal for every sip. The atmosphere is also really great. Plenty of people studying, relaxing, and enjoying the steady music. If I didn’t live in Wisconsin, would definitely come back to this coffee shop.

Delicious coffee, and grape place with wonderful outdoor and indoor sitting area. But what I love the most was the Service, the girl ( Helena) who made my coffee was extremely nice. And I noticed that she was nice with everyone, there was this lady with a problem with her leg so she made sure she brought her the food and the drink drinks to her table, I thought that was so nice! We need more people like that in the world and I’m very grateful that I had two wonderful working hours, delicious coffee, and a great vibe!

I haven’t found a good coffee shop in a while, and my dry spell is finally over. Walking in on a rare rainy Saturday morning in downtown SD and the vibes are just right. It’s clean, open, not too busy (which I’m sure on a weekday would be a different story), It’s chill. The music’s atmosphere and volume have the place overall relaxed and I’m happy to just sit and people watch. I could spend an hour or two just enjoying. The staff are great. Very good service as other people have mentioned. I’d love to say more but that’s just it, they are friendly and make the place welcoming. I got the iced Aloha latte and it was what I’ve been looking for. A nice balance of not too sweet and not just bitter. The coconut and macadamia come out nicely and you can actually taste them. Thank you!

Every time we stay downtown in San Diego we make it a point to visit Coffee-N-Talk. We found this nice coffee place a while back and have enjoyed it ever since (usually every day we're in town). The coffee's are great, they have several unique flavors, and they are already made to order just right. The food is also terrific, they again have many unique fares to choose from, and we haven't had one yet that disappointed. From fresh pastries to breakfast burritos to fresh fruit on made to order waffles... everything in their menu is delicious. The service has always been fantastic as well. If you're looking for a fast in and out, this may not be the choice for you as they make everything as you order it (except the pastries and burritos). It does take a few minutes to get your order, but they are always friendly and welcoming, and we have yet to not be greeted with a smile and warm hello. They have comfortable inside seating as well as a nice patio if you like the cool breeze. All in all this is our favorite breakfast place when staying downtown. We've tried others, but none have met our expectations quite like Coffee-N-Talk. We always stay close by in one of the hotels and walk, don't expect to be able to drive up and park. They're on Broadway near the rail tracks so there isn't much street parking. There is a parking garage in the same building, but I think the cost might be a deterrent. Would always recommend
